Who owns my website and its content?
Your website design and all the content you provide us with belong to you. The Funky Monkey builds and maintains the site on your behalf as part of your contract, but the site and its content are yours.
Where is my website hosted, and who manages that?
Your site is hosted on infrastructure selected and managed by The Funky Monkey. Hosting is included in your subscription and covers server uptime, technical monitoring, and keeping the hosting environment up to date.
What's included in my maintenance plan?
Your maintenance plan covers three types of requests:
- Bug resolution - fixing something that's broken or not working as expected
- Feature requests - small additions or tweaks to existing functionality
- Content changes - updating text, images, or other content on existing pages
Your plan includes a set allocation of hours for the year covered by your contract. Once that allocation is used, additional work can be quoted separately.
How do I request a change or report a bug?
Reach out to support@thefunkymonkey.agency by email with a description of what you need. We'll log the request and keep you updated as we work on it.
How long do changes take?
Turnaround depends on the size and complexity of the request as well as current workload. We will be able to give you an estimate as soon as we've reviewed what you need.
Can I edit content myself, or does it go through you?
This depends on your setup. Some clients have their own WordPress access to make basic edits themselves, while others prefer The Funky Monkey handles all changes. If you're not sure what applies to you, just ask your contact.
What happens if my site goes down?
Contact The Funky Monkey right away. Since we manage your hosting, we'll investigate and restore your site as quickly as possible.
What isn't covered by my maintenance plan?
- Full redesigns or new page builds beyond your included changes
- New third-party integrations not part of your original project scope
- Copywriting or new content creation (unless separately agreed)
- Work beyond your plan's allocated hours (quoted separately or scheduled for your next plan period)
